Special Topic on Episode -
23 - Pong in a Chip
Founded by Samuel Gensburg in 1931/32, Chicago Coin began as a manufacturer of Pinball Machines. Their first big hit "Kilroy" in 1947 ended up being the all-time top-selling pinball machine until the 70s, putting the company in a good position. Following the Pong Craze, Chicago Coin began making Pong-clones in 1973 before finally leaving the industry in 1976 following a lawsuit from Magnavox and company-wide bankruptcy. The company would eventually be bought-out and renamed Stern Electronics in 1977.
