Mirco Games

Arizona Automation was founded in 1969 by Dick Raymond and John Walsh, primarily selling imported foosball tables from Germany. The two would eventually split and Walsh would create Mirco Games, focusing more on electronics, however he later rebought Arizona Automation from Raymond, now under the Mirco name. With the success of Pong, Mirco started making knockoffs, but their expertise in electronics quickly led them to make their own games using the best technology they could find. For example, they were one of the first companies to use a microprocessor in their games, a practice that would become standard throughout the industry. After a deal with Fairchild fell through, their economic outlook slowly declined before they were eventually sold to a local company named Amstar who would continue making games and slot machines using Mirco's resources.
